These moody earrings feature a spotted manta ray swimming toward the rays of light in a shimmery ombre ocean, fading from lighter near the surface to darker at the depths. Each tiny detail has been hand sculpted and hand painted with the utmost care and attention. These make the perfect gift for a teacher, marine biologist, ocean lover, friend, loved one, or yourself.
All designs are 100% handmade using the highest quality polymer clay. Polymer clay is a lightweight, flexible and durable material that will look great for a lifetime with proper care. To clean, simply use a damp cloth and store away from other jewelry to avoid scratches.
There will be slight variations in individual pieces as I make a few pairs at a time. All are as close to the photos as possible.
POSTS:
Many children and adults are sensitive to cheap metals. Titanium earring posts make these as allergy friendly as possible without the expense of pure gold. Only 0.6% of people are allergic to titanium, so it is safe for even the most sensitive ears. Unlike cheaper metals, these are unalloyed pure titanium, nickel-free, and have no trace of irritating metals. Posts are buried in the stud using liquid polymer clay and re-baked for maximum comfort.
BACKS:
Backs are made of clear silicone. I do not use any metal butterflies due to metal sensitivities, as even those labelled hypoallergenic cause reactions for a lot of people. Two sets of clear silicone backs are included to ensure there is an extra set if one goes missing.
